About

Miguel de Contreras is an international fashion designer and personality. 

His career spans world renowned fashion houses, such as Emanuel Ungaro,  Ralph Lauren, 
Donna Karan and Karl Lagerfeld.

Born to Mexican - Spanish parentage, his life as a global citizen was set in motion from a very early age. The multi-cultural, multi-lingual surroundings of his childhood set the foundation of his passion for Art, Fashion, Culture and Technology.

While attending Parsons School of Design, Miguel joined the Ungaro design studio where his worldwide cultural viewpoint was embraced and reinforced. 

Recent endeavors include credits as wardrobe consultant  for  the  international  film   “we pedal uphill” as well as design roles at Ports 1961 and Yigal Azrouël.

Miguel has also been involved and contributed philanthropic and volunteer time to the below foundations: God's Love We Deliver,  Aid for Aids International, Housing Works,  Heritage of Pride, LifeBeat - The Music Industry Fights AIDS, and DIFFA-Design Industry Foundation Fighting AIDS
